How do I get SmarTest?

Download the desktop app for Windows, Mac or Linux from our downloads page, or install the Android app there — it is a direct APK download, with step-by-step install instructions on the same page. SmarTest is not on Google Play or the App Store yet; both are targeted before January 2027, and you can leave your email on the downloads page to be told the day each one lands. You can also search past questions free on this website, and join the free SmarTest Community at community.smartest.ng.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Open the app and start studying immediately — no account, no sign-up, no email required. Your progress is stored on your device.

What is free, and what do I pay for?

A good deal is free. On this website you can search every JAMB past question and join the SmarTest Community at community.smartest.ng. In the app, the free plan gives you the past-question bank, your study planner and your progress — two subjects offline and 100 practice questions a day. A subscription unlocks everything else: all your subjects, the guided learning path, animated explainers, the AI tutor, worked explanations, full timed CBT mocks and per-topic mastery tracking. Plans start at ₦2,000 a month, and every paid plan includes the same full access — the longer plans simply cost less per month. Subscribe at smartest.ng/subscribe, then sign in on any device with the same email and it is already waiting. Students at partner schools are set up with a school code instead.

Which exams and subjects does SmarTest cover?

SmarTest covers JAMB UTME, WAEC SSCE and NECO SSCE across 26 subjects, including Mathematics, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Government and Literature. Past questions span 2000 to 2025 — over 22,000 in total — and you can search the full JAMB bank free at smartest.ng/past-questions.

Does SmarTest work without internet?

Yes, fully. Once you install the app and download your subjects (a one-time step inside the app), everything works completely offline — lessons, past questions, mock exams, flashcards and progress tracking. No data needed.

Question 6

How does the adaptive engine work?

Accepted Answer

As you answer questions, SmarTest tracks which topics you consistently miss. It then reweights your practice sessions to include more questions from those weak areas and fewer from your strong ones, and updates your per-topic mastery as you improve. Each session adapts to you — not a random shuffle of questions.

Question 7

The app crashes on startup. What do I do?

On Android, first confirm your version is 8.0 or higher (Settings → About Phone). Otherwise, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. If the issue persists, contact us with the chat button below or email support@smartest.ng — we read every message.

Question 8

Questions are not loading — a subject shows empty.

Accepted Answer

Open the Download Manager inside the app (from the sidebar or settings) and tap Install next to the subjects you need. That downloads the question bundles to your device — a one-time step per subject, and it works offline afterwards.

Question 9

Will my progress survive if I reinstall the app?

Accepted Answer

Progress is stored locally on your device, so reinstalling clears it. Before uninstalling, use the Backup feature in the app settings — it creates a backup file you can restore from after reinstalling.
