NECO 2026 Results Are Out: Do This Immediately on JAMB CAPS

The National Examinations Council (NECO) officially released the 2026 SSCE internal results on September 24, 2026. But checking your result is only the first step.

The Urgent Warning from JAMB

If you used "Awaiting Result" (AR) during your JAMB registration, your university cannot offer you admission until they see your NECO grades on the JAMB portal. Following the release of the NECO results, JAMB has officially directed all candidates to upload and verify their credentials on the JAMB CAPS portal immediately. The CAPS system was fully restored on September 28, and universities are currently rushing to meet their October 31st admission deadline.

How to Upload Your NECO Result to JAMB CAPS

You cannot do this on your mobile phone browser. You must follow the correct method:

1. Go to a CBT Center: Visit any officially accredited JAMB CBT center or JAMB office near you. Regular cyber cafes cannot upload O'Level results directly to JAMB's server.
2. Bring Your Details: Take a printed copy of your new NECO result, your JAMB profile code, and your JAMB registration number.
3. Verify the Upload: After the CBT staff uploads it, log into your JAMB CAPS on your phone. Click on "O'Level" to confirm that your grades are now showing clearly.

What Happens if You Don't Upload?

Even if you scored 300 in JAMB and had 9 A1s in NECO, your admission status will read "Not Admitted" because the university's dashboard will show that you have no O'Level results. Do not delay this process.

Quick Q&A (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Can I check my NECO 2026 result without a token? A: No. You must purchase a result-checking token directly from the official NECO results portal (results.neco.gov.ng) to view your grades. Q: Can I use my phone to upload my NECO result to JAMB? A: No. O'Level uploads must be done through the licensed portal of an accredited JAMB CBT center. Q: When is the deadline for 2026 university admissions? A: JAMB has set October 31, 2026, as the admission deadline for all Public Universities, and November 30 for Private Universities.
